What Is the CDN Licence?
Canadian internet providers like Bell, Eastlink, and others have dramatically increased their blocking of IPTV services, causing buffering, login failures, and service interruptions for customers across the country.
To keep HushTV reliable for Canadian customers, we moved to a new protected CDN (Content Delivery Network) — a secure streaming infrastructure specifically designed to bypass ISP blocking and keep your channels, movies, and sports working smoothly.
This new network operates on a usage-based model that charges for every gigabyte of bandwidth. Because HushTV customers stream thousands of gigabytes every day, the cost is significant. The $50 CAD annual CDN licence is a direct cost-sharing contribution to keep the infrastructure running — this is not a profit increase.
